A graceful artist and innovator
Grace currently lives in Cincinnati, OH. She grew up in Washington D.C. listening to jazz and R&B while she watched her mother paint and draw; hence the strong music theme in her work . Although Grace went to school for Environmental Policy and Management she has taken art classes since grade school through college and continues to expand her knowledge for art . While Grace enjoys painting on the more traditional media ,canvas and paper, she particularly enjoys painting on Styrofoam because of it's texture.
Picasso, Ernie Barnes, Gilbert Young and John Nelson are just a few of the artist that have influenced her work.
"Grace works with acrylic paints and markers to make her art so vibrant and bold. These are a must see! We were proud to show off Graces work due to its unique style and technique. All customers stopped and appreciated each piece for its individuality. Grace herself was a bubbly light hearted amazing woman to carry on a conversation with." Art on the Levee Gallery
"Rooted in abstraction, Grace's work experiments with different subject matters, techniques, and tools transforming traditional paintings into the abstract. Drawn to music, Grace often paints iconic music figures like Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Dizzy Gillespie and the like. Her bold use of color and constant experimentation is evident in her diverse work. Grace's work shows very well in our gallery. Grace is the quintessential music lover's dream artist." -Dr. Parrish Monk,Founder INKAA Education Program/The Art House
